The Lymphatic System
This system carries nourishment to all the body's cells, and removes what is no longer needed.
It transports our immunity, including white blood cells and antibodies.
It collects excess fluid and returns it into the blood stream.
Unlike the blood which has the heart, the lymph does not have a pump to circulate it through the body.
It depends on gravity, daily movement, proper hydration, and breath to flow.

What to Expect
This 1.5 to 2 hour massage supports the immune system to flow and release what is no longer needed in your body. Your lymphatic system is one of the most important and yet most overlooked systems. It transports food, oxygen, and water for every cell in the body. When the lymphatic system is not nourished it can affect the whole body contributing to edema (water retention) and low energy.
It is a gentle massage, as the lymphatic system is just below the skin, that works the ducted areas (such as the armpits and panty line ) and surfaces (such as face, chest, abdomen, buttocks, and limbs) of the body. The rolling and rocking action encourages the movement of the lymph and is very relaxing.
Please wear underwear you don’t mind getting a little massage oil on.
There will be a short intake at the beginning of your first session.
Please arrive well hydrated and no heavy meals beforehand as the massage stimulates the stomach, gallbladder, and liver.
No exercise before or after – it is counterproductive.
Stay well hydrated afterwards and rest – feeling tired afterwards is normal and part of the detoxification process.
Contraindications
Cancer – unless in remission for at least 2 years.
Pregnancy in the third trimester – unless massage has been a regular part of your prenatal care throughout your pregnancy.

What Past Clients Have to Say
Jaycee creates such a comforting space to go relax and be present with yourself. The first time I went she explained everything so I felt comfortable. She has such a supportive and nurturing presence which makes the time fly by. I always felt so amazing after a session with her. If you are lucky enough to have her in your area I highly recommend!

I have had several lymphatic drainage massages with Jaycee and they have helped my damaged body tremendously, with noticeable improvement with the first massage. I am so happy and grateful to have had Jaycee and Unfurl Wellness as part of my healing team. Thank you.
